Amazon has reduced the prices of its Kindle Fire HD 6 (both variants – 8GB and 16GB) by $30 making them available for purchase at $69.99 and $89.99 respectively.

The Fire HD 6 is a great tablet and those who are new to the tablet world – though they may be joining the bandwagon too late. The Fire HD has been seen as one of the most worthy rivals to Google Nexus as well as iPad mini despite the smaller screen size.

What it lacks for in the screen size, the Fire HD 6 makes it up in terms of its specifications that include a quad-core up to 1.5 GHz, both front and rear camera capable of 720p HD video recording, up to 8 hours of battery life among other things. The tablet also has a mono speaker, and built-in microphone allowing you to carry out video conferencing.

The display is pretty powerful with 1,280 x 800 resolution making it effectively 252 pixels-per-inch. The display of the Fire HD 6 can be pegged as the most powerful in the Fire range of tablets – even powerful than the Fire HD 10 tablet that has the same resolution as the HD 6 but with lower ppi.

One of the major positives for the Kindle Fire HD 6 is the content that Amazon has to offer to go along. You will gain access to millions of movies, TV episodes, songs, books, apps, games, and more. In contrast to those bulky tablets that you can fit in your pocket, the Fire HD 6 is the ultimate pocket-sized tablet with a smaller profile, thinner bezel, and lighter weight design than the previous generation Fire HD. Depending upon which color you fancy, you can go for either Black, Magenta, White, Citron, or Cobalt. Buy the Kindle Fire HD 6 from Amazon.com here.
